Xplor Preschool & School Age Care Releases 3,000 Ladybugs

Students at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care at Castle Hills in Lewisville recognized Earth Day by releasing ladybugs in their schoolyard

Students at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care at Castle Hills in Lewisville have caught the environmental bug! On April 22, students celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing 3,000 ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Students also enjoyed a picnic and participated in Earth Day-themed crafts.

Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Xplor teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
