Xplor Preschool & School Age Care Students Hold Ladybug Release
Students recognized Earth Day by releasing 5,000 ladybugs in their schoolyard to help local vegetation
Students at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care in Trophy Club have caught the environmental bug! On April 22, students celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing 5,000 ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Prior to the release, students also planted flowers and vegetables in gardens around the school.
Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Xplor teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
