Here are the top stories in Dallas today:

  1. Dallas Police are currently searching for the shooter who killed an 18-year-old at Canterbury Crossing Apartments just after midnight on Monday. Police were called out to a shooting at the complex, which is located in the 10000 block of Lake June Road. They found the victim, identified as Christen Heath, lying on the floor of an apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. Anyone with information is urged to contact police. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
  2. The first Latino cohort of the Adjunct Teacher Dallas Residency Program has begun their path to the classroom. The 11 soon-to-be educators will be supported by the Dallas ISD Human Capital Management department on their path toward becoming licensed teachers through the district's Alternative Certification program. (Dallas ISD)
  3. A northwest Dallas man was fatally shot in the chest with an airsoft rifle on Sunday night. The suspect told police he had "forgotten the toy gun was loaded." (Free: Flipboard; Subscription: The Dallas Morning News)
