Here are the top stories today in Dallas:

1. A 19-year-old man was found fatally shot Friday evening in a wooded area in South Dallas. Police were dispatched about 6:35 p.m. to the 4600 block of Silver Avenue, where they found Anthony Diante Dixon with gunshot wounds. Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to contact Detective Phillip Wheeler of the Dallas Police Department. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
2. A new trail, one of the largest shared-use projects south of Downtown Dallas, is officially open in Oak Cliff. The Honey Springs-Cedar Crest Trail connects neighborhoods in southern Dallas and boasts views of the city skyline. Officials said they hope it will breathe new life into the empty corridors of land formerly used by Texas utility giant Oncor.
