Woman Arrested In Shooting Death Of 19-Year-Old
Documents claim Maria Bustamante fired one point-blank shot at the victim's cheek then ran from the scene. She is held on a $250,000 bail.

DALLAS, TX — A woman told police in Dallas Friday that she had no "f-cking clue why" she allegedly fired the point-blank shot that killed her 19-year-old boyfriend. The woman, Maria Bustamante, was arrested Friday for the murder of Reymundo Lopez, who died after being shot once in a truck in the 4800 block of Dolphin Road.
According to a probable cause affidavit for Maria Bustamante's arrest, the two were dating. Police say Lopez picked up the gun and put it to his cheek. It was then that Bustamante reached up and pulled the trigger, according to the affidavit.
She ran from the scene of the shooting before police arrived and later told police she didn't know why she pulled the trigger. According to the affidavit, she told police "it was an accident; it was his gun; I didn't know it was cocked."
