Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:
- The Dallas Police Department has made an arrest in a 1989 cold case. David Rojas has been charged with capital murder for the death of Mary Hague Kelly that occurred on Jan. 19, 1989 in the 400 block of North Frances Street. Rojas was arrested after DNA collected during the murder investigation matched his. Kelly reportedly died of strangulation. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
- A body was discovered in a northwest Dallas drainage ditch on Friday. The incident occurred in the 3000 block of Clydedale Drive. Dallas Fire-Rescue declared the man deceased; the Dallas Police Department is currently conducting an investigation. The death has been referred to by the department as a homicide. - In-person service at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas was canceled on Sunday due to a reported bomb threat. The Dallas Police Department confirmed that the threat was not credible during an investigation. The church decided to follow through with the cancelation to ensure public safety. - The Dallas Police Department reports that Officer John Rozell is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an Internal Affairs administrative investigation into a Sunday incident. Rozell was arrested by the Lancaster Police Department for disorderly conduct by displaying a firearm in public. (Dallas Police Department via Facebook)
- The Dallas Police Department is asking the community to help in locating Ms. Le'andre Tittle. She went missing in the 2800 block of Wheatland Road and may be in need of assistance.
