2 Adults, 2 Children Dead In Dallas Motel Shooting
The manager of a Staybridge Suites said occupants' time had expired when they heard a gunshot before police found 4 people dead.
DALLAS, TX — The four people — two adults and an equal number of children — killed in a shooting at a motel in North Dallas were identified on Wednesday.
Police were dispatched to a Staybridge Suites location on North Dallas Parkway near Keller Springs Road Tuesday at around 3:10 p.m., offiials said. The motel's manager told police staff went to a room where the occupants' time had expired when they heard a gunshot as they made entry into the room. Fleeing the gunfire, the manager then called police.
On Wednesday, Dallas police identified the deceased man and woman as Charles Schoenfeld, 41, and Brittany Howard, 31. In addition, two children — a 12-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy — were also found dead of gunshot wounds. The names of the children were not released given their minor status.

The motive for the shooting is unclear. The Dallas Police Department said an investigation is ongoing.
