  1. A Dallas-area house explosion killed 2 individuals and injured 4 others. The Garland Fire Department responded to the house fire Sunday around 11:00 a.m. in the 600 block of East Ridgewood Drive. Paula Reyes, 54, and Angel Reyes, 15, died at local hospitals. Three of the remaining 4 family members are in critical condition. A GoFundMe campaign has been started. The department is conducting an investigation into the incident. (25 News KXXV and KRHD)
  2. The 2022 HackDFW hackathon has been scheduled for Sep. 23 through Sep. 25. The event will be on the top floors of Cityplace Tower and the list of sponsors is continuing to grow.   3. A high-profile Dallas attorney has been sentenced to five years in prison for conspiracy to launder money. Former attorney Ray Jackson was arrested during an undercover Drug Enforcement Agency sting in April. His law license has been canceled as a part of his federal conviction.
