The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Dallas.

(Patch Media)

Hello again. I'm back with your fresh edition of the Dallas Daily, fresh off the presses. Let's get this day started off right, with a quick review of the most important things going on in town these days...

First, today's weather:

Sunny, pleasant and warmer. High: 83 Low: 61.

📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Dallas who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Dallas Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. The Dallas City Council has approved a $5 million incentive to retain Neiman Marcus' headquarters in Dallas. The incentive is also for the company to update its downtown Dallas store. The incentive plan will keep the nine-story downtown location open through 2031. The money also comes with a stipulation that the company maintains a minimum of 1,100 Dallas jobs with at least 35 percent of its headquarters employees as Dallas residents. (The Dallas Morning News)
  2. Kitchen United MIX is opening three locations in Dallas-Fort Worth. The ghost kitchen company is based in California and provides professional kitchen space for delivery-only concepts. Customers will be able to order food from 10 different restaurant brands on the same ticket. (CultureMap Dallas)
  3. Walmart is preparing to bring two new delivery methods to the Dallas area. InHome shopping and drone deliveries will be available for Walmart customers by the end of this year. InHome shopping will allow Walmart employees to deliver groceries to a customer's house, going as far as actually putting the groceries into the customer's fridge. (The Dallas Morning News)
