4 Toys R Us Stores Around Dallas To Close
The locations to be shuttered are in Irving, Hurst, Dallas and Lewisville. About 20 percent of Toys R Us stores nationwide will close

DALLAS, TX — Toys R Us could soon be a thing of the past — at least for a few North Texas communities. That's right, five of the 183 nationwide Toys R Us store closures will be right here in North Texas, including a store in the Dallas Galleria Mall.
This announcement isn't all bad news for shoppers, as going-out-of-business sales will kick off at these locations in February. Here's the North Texas stores affected by the closures:
- 7730 N. MacArthur Blvd, Irving TX
- 420 E. Round Grove Rd., Lewisville TX
- 13710 Dallas Parkway, Dallas Galleria TX
- 1309 W. Pipeline Rd., Hurst TX
According to a CNBC report, a number of the retailer's remaining locations will be co-branded as Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores. The closure and rebranding announcement comes about four months after the chain filed for bankruptcy protection.
