Dallas, Texas - Emphasizing the significant impact fathers have on their children's educational and emotional growth, Thomas Garner, Partnership and Volunteer Coordinator, firmly believes that active paternal engagement can be pivotal in a child's development. Garner is actively leading efforts to rally a vast group of fathers and father figures to strengthen the initiatives of the Dallas Independent School District’s All Pro Dad program.

To achieve this objective, Garner has organized the upcoming "Dad’s Draft" event, which will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, at Adelle Turner Elementary School, located at 5505 S. Polk St., Dallas, Texas.

Highlighting the similarities between the "Dad’s Draft" and the excitement of the National Football League (NFL) draft, Garner stresses that the "Dad’s Draft" is not just for show but serves a critical purpose. He states, “If you visualize or have ever seen an NFL draft with the props on stage, the helmets, the green room for the young men being drafted in the first round, it’s the same hype. It’s an opportunity to acknowledge campuses who want to take the program beyond the draft and into their campuses to give men the opportunity to be leaders.”
