As part of the operation, detectives from the Special Investigations Division (SID) identified a warehouse in the 2500 block of Manana Drive operating as an unlicensed sexually oriented business.

On April 17, detectives from SID, the Place Network Investigations Unit, and officers on the Northwest Prostitution Task Force executed a search warrant at the warehouse, which is alleged to have hosted a "sexual encounter center."

Detectives allege that patrons could pay a cover fee to enter the business and engage in sexual contact, a violation of the city's Sexually Oriented Business ordinance.

During search of the premises, detectives detained 48 individuals and seized 227 grams of marijuana, 671 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, and 11,034.7 grams of THC hash oil.

Additionally, detectives recovered more than $11,000 in currency, multiple computers, hard drives, as well as "pleasure devices and a cargo van believed to be used in the production of pornography," according to the post.

The department reports that two suspects who allegedly promoted the event were taken into custody. Israel Luna, 53, was charged with possession of a controlled substance over 400 grams; promotion of prostitution, a third-degree felony; possession of marijuana between four ounces and five pounds, a state jail felony; and operating a sexually oriented business without a license, a class a misdemeanor.

The second person arrested was 42-year-old Marc Tuton. He was charged with operating a sexually oriented business without a license. The other individuals detained during the search were released at the scene.

"The Dallas Police Department is committed to enforcing all laws and ordinances related to prostitution, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation to keep everyone safe in Dallas," the post states.
