Dallas Police Identify Suspect in March Homicide

The Dallas Police Department identified a suspect in a homicide that occurred in Southeast Dallas last month and is seeking the public's assistance in locating him.

According to the post, police are seeking the public's help in locating Jah Jacobs, who is a suspect in the crime, which occurred in the early morning hours of March 4 in the 4800 block of Sunnyvale St.

Jones is reportedly 19 years old, 5'8", and 140 pounds. He is currently wanted for capital murder.

Police ask residents with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS. Crime Stoppers will pay for information that leads to the arrest and indictment for this and other felony offenses. Refer to the case number 030490-2026.

Dallas police released a statement on the homicide at 4800 Sunnyvale St. on March 4. According to the statement, at approximately 1 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at the location.

The preliminary investigation determined the victim, 42-year-old Morris Henderson, had been shot several times at the location by a suspect who was unknown at the time.

Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and transported Henderson to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Another person died on April 23 near the 5600 block of N Central Expressway. According to a department bulletin, police responded to a local hospital where a man died after being transported by Dallas Fire-Rescue with an apparent puncture wound.

The motives and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, and the case is currently documented as an unexplained death. The Dallas County Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause of death and the man's identity.
