Another Cold Front Headed to North Texas Mid-Week

There is yet another cold front headed to North Texas that could bring strong to severe storm potential mid-week.

The National Weather Service Fort Worth/Dallas issued a bulletin about the weather activity on Monday afternoon. According to the bulletin, Tuesday night could bring isolated strong to severe storms to Northeast Texas.

The main threat to North Texas will be damaging winds and large hail. On Wednesday, Central and East Texas could see scattered strong to severe storms.

More isolated storms will also be possible further west into Central Texas. Be on the lookout for large hail and damaging winds. The greatest severe risk threat will be east of the I-35 corridor Tuesday night through Wednesday.

When it comes to the rest of the week, temperatures will rebound well into the 80s and potentially the lower 90s over the weekend. There will be near daily chances for isolated thunderstorms (20-30%) across Central Texas except for on Saturday.

On Sunday, storm coverage may be a little more widespread, extending into North Texas. Due to the warm unstable airmass in place, the NWS will monitor for the potential of strong to severe thunderstorms, especially on Sunday.

Residents should plan for interruptions to outdoor activities. Remember that when thunder roars, everyone should go indoors. Also, remember to have multiple ways (phone app, TV, weather radio, etc.) of receiving weather warning information.
