On Friday, Fair Park is hosting an Independence Day celebration as part of the ongoing FIFA Fan Festival in Dallas.
The City of Dallas put out a press release with the details. According to the release, the event will offer a full day of entertainment, community activities, cultural experiences, and fireworks at one of the city's most iconic destinations.
Admission to the event is free. Cashless parking is $30. Register in advance here.
Attendees can watch live FIFA matches on big screens, enjoy the entertainment, and take part in various family friendly activities.
At the end of the evening, guests will be treated to a fireworks show at the Pavilion following the Colombia vs. Ghana match, which starts at 8:30 p.m.
The city encourages guests to spend the day exploring Fair Park, including the African American Museum at Fair Park, the Hall of State, Texas Discovery Gardens, the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park, and the Black Academy of Arts and Letters.
Food and drinks will be available at Rousso at the Old Mill Inn. Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Additionally, coolers, chairs, and fireworks are considered prohibited items.
No other events are scheduled at Fair Park from July 3-4 outside of the FIFA Fan Festival and the fireworks show. Midway and Cotton Bowl Stadium will be closed to the public.
