The Dallas Watermelon Dash returns to Bachman Lake Park on Sunday, August 23, inviting runners, walkers, and families to celebrate the season with an unforgettable morning of fitness, community, and giving back. This event is presented by Lonestar Running Company (LRC).

"We invite everyone to join us for the final event in our Dallas Summer Series, regardless of fitness level," said Randi Schooley, co-founder of Lonestar Running Company. "It's a great opportunity to get active, connect with the community and celebrate your accomplishment with a refreshing slice of watermelon at the finish line."

Participants can choose from a 5K or Kids/Family 1K, then enjoy post-race festivities and an awards ceremony. Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply making memories, the Watermelon Dash offers something for every age and fitness ability.

As the final event in the Summer Dash Series - following the Lemonade Dash in June and the Popsicle Dash in July - LRC aims to raise $10,000 in support of the following charitable beneficiaries: Ainsley's Angels - creates inclusive racing opportunities for individuals with disabilities; The Asher House Animal Sanctuary – rescues and rehomes animals; and LifeGift Organ Donation – saves and improves lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation in North and West Texas.

Race Day Schedule

Medals will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, top three Masters (40+) male and female, and first place age group winners (10-year divisions).

Every registration does more than fuel race day excitement - it helps strengthen the local community by benefiting organizations that make a meaningful difference. One final run. Three meaningful causes. One sweet way to close out summer on a sweet note. To learn more and register visit Watermelon Dash Dallas.
