Here are the top stories today in Dallas:

1. An apartment blast yesterday injured eight people, including four firefighters who were on the scene investigating a natural gas leak. Residents of the two-story complex in southern Dallas reported smelling gas just before the explosion partially collapsed the building.
   The cause of the blast has not officially been determined. (KXXV News Channel 25)
2. Police arrested a man after a high-speed car chase and crash in southern Dallas County on Wednesday evening. The driver, who was speeding up to 100 miles per hour, clipped another vehicle on the EB Interstate 20 service road near South Lancaster. After the crash, he got out of the car and and ran inside a cold storage facility, where police arrested him minutes later. (FOX 4 Dallas)
3. A vigil was held last night for Senior Corporal Arnulfo Pargas Jr., a beloved Dallas police officer who lost his battle with COVID-19 last week. (FOX 4 Dallas)
4. Jennifer Lynne Faith, 49, has been accused of encouraging her boyfriend to kill her husband, Jamie Faith, in Dallas last October, and is now being charged with murder-for-hire. (WFAA.com)
5. Dallas defense attorney Rayshun Jackson has pled guilty to laundering narcotics money and now faces five years in federal prison. (inForney.com)
