Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. Some Dallas County ballots were sent without room for a candidate write-in section. According to the Dallas County Democratic Party, the ballot issue has affected about 10,000 voters. Dallas County is reportedly working to remedy the issue. Those that received a ballot with the mistake will be receiving a second ballot with detailed instructions from the county's Elections Department. (Patch)
  2. Two individuals were shot and killed on Saturday at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Nestor Hernandez, 30 years old, allegedly shot at hospital employees at about 11:00 a.m. Hernandez had an active ankle monitor at the time of the shooting. He was shot during the police response and was transported to a different hospital for treatment. (CBS Dallas)
  3. The Dallas County walk for Susan G. Komen raised more than $670,000 for breast cancer patients. Over 800 breast cancer survivors participated in the walk on Saturday morning. The walk allowed participants to bond and celebrate survivorship while raising money for breast cancer research. (Fox 4 News)
