Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dallas Police Department have arrested a Dallas man for a series of bank robberies in the Metroplex area. Mark Robert Disch, 53, has been charged with 2 counts of bank robbery. He appeared in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Priest Johnson on Friday. He is facing up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted. (frontporchnewstexas.com)
- The Environmental Protection Agency has discovered asbestos near the former W.R. Grace vermiculite processing plant. The contamination was discovered during the agency's soil testing on Manila Road. The processing plant was shut down almost 30 years ago and demolished. There is now a concrete batch plant at the site. (D Magazine)
