Art Without Barriers: How to Interact, Learn, and Buy

Art Without Barriers: How to Interact, Learn, and Buy

Event Details

SPACE @ Adolphus Tower, 1412 Main St, Dallas, TX 75202

Ahead of the 9th edition of The Other Art Fair, returning May 7–10 at Dallas Market Hall, join Senior Fair Manager Briana Salatino in conversation with exhibiting artists Emily Herrera, Tina Ngo, and Bharathi Dev for an open, behind-the-scenes look at how art fairs really work—and how you can confidently take part.

This candid panel breaks down the questions many first-time (and even seasoned) collectors hesitate to ask: How do artists price their work? What’s the difference between originals, prints, and limited editions? Can you ask for a discount? And how do materials, process, and inspiration shape what you see on the wall?

Through personal stories and practical insight, the artists share how they develop their work—from concept to medium to final price—while offering a window into the creative decisions that make each piece unique. Along the way, you’ll learn how to approach artists, start meaningful conversations, and navigate the fair with curiosity and ease.

Whether you’re just beginning your collection or looking to deepen your engagement with art, this session is designed to make the experience feel accessible, transparent, and welcoming. Ask questions, gain confidence, and discover how to buy what you love—without barriers.

Please RSVP to briana@theotherartfair.com.
