The 14th Annual Eric Nadel Birthday Benefit returns Thursday, May 14, 2026, celebrating the 75th birthday of Texas Rangers Hall of Fame broadcaster Eric Nadel with an electrifying night of music, community and philanthropy at the historic Longhorn Ballroom.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., followed by performances from Chuck Prophet and His Cumbia Shoes at 7:30 p.m. and Sammy Rae &amp; The Friends at 9:20 p.m. The annual concert also features live and silent auctions, offering exclusive items such as autographed sports memorabilia and unique dining experiences at beloved Dallas restaurants.
Presented by Haynes Boone with media sponsor KXT 91.7, the birthday benefit supports Grant Halliburton Foundation, a Dallas nonprofit celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026. The organization provides vital mental health education, resources and suicide prevention programs for children, teens and families across North Texas.

Thursday nights this summer will be extra special in Rockwall as the city presents its annual Concert by the Lake series. Held at The Harbor between 7 and 9 p.m. each week from May through July, the concerts feature a wide assortment of musical artists. 
Memphis Soul is a high-energy, eight-piece group showcasing a distinctive sound and style inspired by artists including Earth, Wind and Fire, Otis Redding, Al Green, Sam Cooke and Aretha Franklin. The band performs songs from the rich musical legacy of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s mixed with current popular classic soul and R&amp;B styles.
The free concerts take place on the Amphitheater Stage at The Harbor, 2059 Summer Lee Drive, on the shores of beautiful Lake Ray Hubbard. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, picnics and beverages.Concerts take place unless there is rain or severe weather at showtime; however, the start of a show can be delayed if it appears rain will stop soon.
