Event Details
On May 24 and 25, hundreds of Dallas residents will gather – some with photos of fallen heroes, some dressed in uniform, and some carrying heavy gear – to walk the Katy Trail in observance of Memorial May.
Organized by nonprofit Carry The Load, the event honors the sacrifices of our nation’s military, veterans, first responders and their families. Participants of all ages and backgrounds will “carry the load” for military and first responders by walking along the Katy Trail. The event also features food trucks, family-friendly activities and personal stories shared from the main stage from local heroes and their families.
