The S.M. Wright Foundation's 28th Annual Christmas in the Park at Dallas Fair Park will take place Saturday, December 12, starting at 8:30 a.m. inside Fair Park's Automobile Building. 
During the event, more than 40,000 children and family members in need will hand-pick brand new toys, coats, clothes, bicycles, and receive a warm meal, essential household items, and groceries, in addition to providing beds for young children.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, Galleria Dallas will highlight Hispanic and Latino culture through a monthlong Artist Collective exhibit and a series of free live performances. 
The art window will display works by Brenda Melgoza Ciardiello, a Texas-based interdisciplinary artist, writer and educator whose work explores the relationship between place and memory through painting, ceramic sculpture and photography. 
Throughout the month, local dance and music groups will perform on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 and 4 p.m. on Level 1 near Lane Boots. Entertainment rotates daily and includes ballet folklorico by nearly a dozen dance groups and a live mariachi performance by Mariachi Orgullo de LV Berkner High School. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches adults how to recognize signs of mental health and substance use challenges, start a supportive conversation, provide initial support, and help connect someone with appropriate resources.
This FREE online training for Texas residents ages 18+ includes required self-paced pre-work, a live instructor-led virtual class, and post-course requirements. Participants who complete all required components receive Mental Health First Aid certification.
No prior mental health experience is required—just a willingness to learn how to support others and make a difference in your community.
