Victim Named In Cedar Hill Murder; One Man Arrested
An ongoing homicide investigation has led to the arrest of a 68-year-old man in Cedar Hill. One person died in the Monday evening shooting.

CEDAR HILL, TX — One female was killed and two other people were critically injured in a shooting that took place Monday evening around 8:00 p.m. Danny Howard Silvers, 68, was arrested in connection with the shooting and was assigned one charge of murder and two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Silvers is being held in Desoto City Jail.
The woman was Jeri Lee Edwards, 60, also of Cedar Hill. Police say Silvers called the police to report his neighbors were dinking and yelling at him. Police responded Monday around 6:14 p.m., but reported that no physical altercation had taken place at the time. Shots were fired at 8:08 p.m.
Police report Silvers was arrested in 2010 and charged with Aggravated Assault. The charges were later reduced to Deadly Conduct. The victims involved in the 2010 case were not involved in Monday's shooting.

Police say Silvers was a next-door neighbor to the victims. The shooting took place at the 300 block of Halifax Ct., where a weapon was discovered. No motive for the shooting has been determined.
Police say the surviving victims are in critical condition and are unable to speak to detectives. Police cannot release the the name of the deceased at this time as detectives are still attempting to contact family members of the deceased.
