City of Dallas Hosting Event on Growth and Development Ahead of Code Rewrite
The evening precedes a series of Zoning 101 Community Conversations.
Next week, the City of Dallas is hosting an evening conversation with community leaders and partners to share perspectives on the region's growth ahead of an upcoming series of Zoning 101 Community Conversations.
The city invited residents to the Shape of Dallas in a Thursday press release. The event will take place on April 16, from 5-7 p.m. at the Space at the Adolphus, 1412 Main St. It is billed as "an evening conversation on how Dallas is taking shape."
The assembled community leaders and partners will identify key questions and help shape the upcoming Zoning 101 Community Conversations.

An informal happy hour hosted by FGIII Fine Arts Productions will follow.
"We're bringing together a small group of residents, community leaders, business leaders, and organizations for a conversation about how Dallas is growing to help inform our upcoming zoning conversations," the press release states.

The press release states that the event is designed to share a simple overview of how zoning impacts every day life. Planning and Development staff will also be on-hand to hear from residents across the city.
"No prior knowledge of zoning is needed," the release states. "This will not be a typical public meeting. It will be a conversation that is accessible, open, and grounded in real perspectives."
