It’s time for monarch butterflies to migrate south to Mexico, which means these marvelous creates will be passing through Texas soon. Celebrate the annual ritual at a free family-friendly event to learn about monarch butterfly migration and how to create your own pollinator garden to support pollinators.

The Monarch Festival will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd.

Visit the Mariposa Market and check out art vendors, food trucks and musical acts at this event celebrating Hispanic culture.
The festival is sponsored by the Fort Worth Monarch Pollinator Ambassadors, the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant Regional Water District, Fort Worth Botanic Garden | Botanical Research Institute of Texas, Tarrant County College, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Wildlife Federation, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Fort Worth Zoo, Native Prairies Association of Texas and the Native Plant Society of Texas.
