“Fort Worth is the 12th largest city in the U.S., and it is one of the most vibrant and expansive cities in the fourth largest metropolitan area in the country. The Fort Worth Chamber and Visit Fort Worth are focused on enhancing the image, economy and quality of life for our community. We are aware of the changes happening in the Big 12 and support TCU as they make decisions in the best interests of their student-athletes, their program and our community. TCU represents Fort Worth and Texas on a national stage with its strong enrollment and academic profile, positively impacting tourism and the economic landscape. We are proud of the reputation for success that the Horned Frogs have demonstrated in academics and athletics and all that has been achieved in their 10 years in the Big 12. We support TCU and will continue to share our Horned Frog Spirit.”

The statement was signed by Brandom Gengelbach, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Chamber, and Bob Jameson, president and CEO of Visit Fort Worth.
