Experience a groundbreaking ceremony for Fort Worth’s newest fire station, serving the rapidly growing area around Highway 287 and Harmon Road in far north Fort Worth.

The ceremony will be at 10 a.m. July 27 at 1901 Qual Grove Drive. Mayor Mattie Parker, City Manager David Cooke, Assistant City Manager Valerie Washington and Fire Chief Jim Davis will mark the start of construction at the site.

Station 45 will measure 10,000-plus square feet with three apparatus bays. The single-story prototype floorplan will be masonry construction and will cost about $4.6 million. Construction is scheduled to take 12 months. The facility is funded by the 2014 bond approved by Fort Worth voters.
