Lauren Cross, curator of the exhibition at the base of Pioneer Tower, selected a roster of 10 North Texas artists working with a wide range of new media approaches for an art installations that will be presented between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. Aug. 20 and 21 at Will Rogers Memorial Center, 3401 E. Lancaster Ave.
The art exhibition is a uniquely Fort Worth event featuring historical and modern perspectives, stories and memories from the region. Each of the artists’ pieces highlights unfamiliar and distinct narratives around the collective experiences of North Texans that are in dialogue with the video installation on Pioneer Tower by Refik Anadol and Quayola, which explore memories of Fort Worth and the region’s natural beauty.

While the art projected on all four sides of Pioneer Tower is visible across the Cultural District and beyond, visitors will want to spend time at the base of the tower to experience the installation up close.
The exhibition is free, but visitors must reserve a time in advance. All tickets are distributed in hour blocks to maintain distancing and safety. Tickets do not include parking. Visitors will be walking through the exhibition with the lights off and only the artworks will be lighting the path. Those who are sensitive to light should know that there are different forms of lighting used in the exhibition. Exhibits may involve sound, and visitors should be prepared for different decibel levels.
