The celebration will be held, rain or shine, at the south end of the new Henderson Street Bridge, just north of the Henderson Street roundabout. On-street parking will be available on the south bridge approach just north of the traffic barricades. Police officers stationed at the barricades will allow visitors to pass through to park.
Speakers will include District 2 Councilmember Carlos Flores; District 9 Councilmember Elizabeth Beck; and Mayor Pro Tem Gyna Bivens.

After the ribbon cutting, local car clubs will lead the way for those wishing to walk, run or cycle over the bridge.
The Henderson Street Bridge was opened to traffic two weeks ago and followed ribbon cuttings at the White Settlement Bridge and Main Street Bridge earlier this year. The three bridges are part of a $1.17 billion project to create Panther Island by cutting a bypass between the two forks of the Trinity River as a way to control river flooding.
