The Cross Timbers Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program is accepting applications for its next cohort, which begins Aug. 17. The chapter, which serves Tarrant and Parker counties, is aiming to increase its diversity, equity and inclusion.

The mission of the Texas Master Naturalist program is to develop well-informed volunteers who can provide education, outreach and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas in the community.

Weekly training begins Aug. 17 and runs through Oct. 19. Some classes will be conducted at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, and others will be on Zoom. Class size is limited, so apply only if you are able to attend all training sessions and field trips. Apply by July 14.
