The workshops will be guided by experts from the James L. West Center for Dementia Care. Participants will learn about the preassembled kits available for checkout, how to use them and also how to create personalized memory boxes at home for a specific person.
Each kit features several objects that relate to an interest or career, including ones focusing on beauty, games, gardening, handyman and sports activities. Seeing and touching the various items in the boxes can rekindle memories and inspire conversations. The experience is meant to be an enriching one for all who use the boxes.
