City Of Fort Worth: Traffic Reroute Set For New Henderson Street Bridge

The initial date published for the traffic switch was Wednesday, Sept. 29 but the date was moved up to Tuesday, Sept. 28 to avoid forecasted bad weather.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 28, northbound traffic on State Hwy. 199/Henderson Street from downtown Fort Worth will be rerouted onto the new Henderson Street Bridge.

The existing detour will then be taken out of service. The contractor will continue to work on the remaining elements of the new bridge for the next several weeks while the bridge is open to traffic.

A formal ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for October.
