Fort Worth Community Emergency Response Team is holding a 24-hour basic class at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, 505 W. Felix St. The class will be conducted 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on three Saturdays: Oct. 30, Nov. 6 and Nov 13.

Community Emergency Response Team training provides residents with basic skills needed to respond to the community’s immediate needs in the aftermath of an extreme disaster, when emergency services are not immediately available. By working together, CERT volunteers can assist in saving lives and protecting property using the basic techniques taught in this course.
The training is free and open to anyone living, working or with a vested interest in Fort Worth.

Register through the Texas Division of Emergency Management's Preparing Texas website to secure a seat and to receive a certificate from the State of Texas Emergency Management Office. More details are available at the Fort Worth CERT website.
