Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. The Dallas Fire Fighters Association has accused the City of Dallas of owning tens of thousands of dollars in unpaid overtime. The association alleges that the unpaid overtime is from December and January. The overtime reportedly accumulated during the Omicron surge of the COVID-19 pandemic. (WFAA.com)
  2. A 19-year-old reportedly crashed into a Dallas apartment complex on North Masters after being fatally shot. According to the Dallas Police Department, Andrew Patterson struck two vehicles, a gas line, and then the building after he was fatally shot while he was driving his vehicle. The department's investigation believes that drugs were involved in the incident. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
  3. A Dallas nonprofit is offering mental health training in North Texas schools. The free trainings will hopefully teach parents, educators, and counselors how to identify mental health issues for students. CIS Dallas Regional is currently raising money to offer services to a larger population. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
