Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. Dallas residents will soon be able to enjoy a Utah-based drive-through drink chain. Swig is a chain that focuses entirely on customizable drinks. The one-of-a-kind experience will begin on May 6 at the chain's new Fairview Town Center location. The chain was founded in St. George, Utah in 2010 and has 39 different locations sprinkled throughout the country. (CultureMap Dallas)
  2. Dallas' Galleria is adding four new stores. Apricot Lane, Gregory's, Lizzie Lu Luxury Treats, and The Inspiration Co. are being added to the mall that is reportedly looking to make a comeback. Gregory's actually left the Galleria in 2010 for NorthPark Center but has recently decided to return to the Galleria after closing its NorthPark Center store. (The Dallas Morning News)
  3. Inflation is hitting restaurants throughout the country but prices for lobster, chicken wings, and brisket are rising at a brisk pace in the Dallas region. According to a recent U.S. Department of Agriculture report, restaurant prices are expected to increase over 5.5 percent this year but these three menu items are easily outpacing that metric. Dallas' lobster prices have doubled, chicken wings are priced like steak, and brisket is three times more expensive than it was a few years ago. (The Dallas Morning News)
