  1. Dallas police are searching for a man they believe was the shooter during the Feb. 3 killing of a woman outside of her home. Investigators have identified Jose Manual Mendez as the suspect in the death of 47-year-old Margarita Rodriguez Pagoaga. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Grove Oaks Boulevard and is considered a case of domestic violence. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. The Dallas CASA Young Professionals hosted its annual CASAblanca casino party and raised funds for abused and neglected Dallas children. The night consisted of traditional casino games, a raffle, and tasty bites. Since 1979, Dallas CASA has been an active member of the Dallas community and has defended children in the courtroom.   3. The Dallas City Council voted to tear down the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The center will be rebuilt as part of the $4 billion project funded through state sales and hotel tax. Currently, there will be no impact on the city's general fund, as the money will be provided through tourism outside of the city. (D Magazine)
