Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:
- The head of the Dallas Fire association says the group supports the firing of the City Manager. T.C. Broadnax is reportedly under heavy scrutiny for his operation of the city's permitting process. The Dallas Fire Association's letter to the City Council has tacked on payment issues, conditions at the city's fire stations, and equipment status. (The Dallas Morning News)
- Segments of Interstate 635 will be closed this week. The announcement was made through the Texas Department of Transportation. Click for the full list of road closures, times, and detour routes. (The Dallas Morning News)
- Numerous North Texas residents reported long power outages that lasted more than 24 hours. The outages were through Oncor and were reportedly the result of severe temperatures. The power company reports that it has crews throughout the region repairing equipment as fast as possible. (NBC DFW)
