Dallas To Honor The Arts In April

Dallas Arts Month

DALLAS, TX — In Texas, Austin gets all the credit for being a a centrifuge of art. But Dallas is no stranger to artistic expression, and the city has once again embarked on an initiative to celebrate art of all types during the month of April.

Founded by Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings in 2013, Dallas Art Month is a city-wide celebration aimed at building awareness and appreciation of Dallas' artists.

The initiative is celebrated with a number of festivals and presentations, including a pop-up poetry project, an advocacy day at the Latino Cultural Center and a block party.
