🌱Dallas ISD Offering Free Meals + Serial Murder Trial Begins

Here are the top stories today in Dallas:

  1. To help fight hunger among children in the Dallas community during the holidays, Dallas Independent School District is planning to provide a curbside "grab 'n go" meal service. The district will provide a free week's worth of meals and snacks to every child, 18 years and younger. The service is set for Monday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m.–2 p.m., or while supplies last. (Dallas ISD)
  2. Yesterday, the trial began for a man charged with killing 18 women in Dallas and its suburbs over a two-year span. Billy Chemirmir, 48, is being tried in Dallas for the death of 81-year-old Lu Thi Harris. Most of the victims were killed at independent living communities for older people, where Chemirmir allegedly forced his way into apartments or posed as a handyman. (WBRZ 2)
  3. Sweetgreen's first Dallas location will open on Nov. 23 in Uptown's West Village at 3636 McKinney Avenue. (Eater Dallas)
  4. Dallas Police are asking the public for assistance in solving an apparent road rage murder of 49-year-old Juan Manuel Hurtado Saturday night on the eastbound I-30 service road. (klif.com)
