The Dallas Police Department is hosting its Summer Hiring Event this week from June 10-12. Here are the event details.
The department put out the details in a Tuesday social media post. The event is being billed as the "biggest DPD hiring event ever."
According to the post, the event will run from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. It will take place at Gilley's Dallas, 1135 Botham Jean Blvd.

"We're looking for the next generation of officers ready to serve one of the greatest cities in the country," the post states.
The post states that walk-ins are welcome to participate in a fast-track hiring process. No experience is required to apply, and trainees will receive paid academy training. After the academy, new officers will receive a starting salary plus incentive pay.

Attendees should wear business casual attire to the event, and bring along PT gear to change into for the physical fitness portion of the testing.

There are opportunities for individuals who are interested in applying for non-sworn positions within the department as well.
