Dallas Ranked Among Best Places To Celebrate Easter

The top cities for Easter celebrations was New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Dallas was ranked as the 20th best place to celebrate Easter in the U.S. according to a new report from personal finance website WalletHub. The report compared the 100 largest cities across 12 metrics, including Easter egg-hunt events per capita and Easter weather forecast, WalletHub said in a news release.

The top location was New York City followed by Chicago. Houston was ranked 11.

The data was gathered from the U.S. Census Bureau, Association Of Religion Data Archives, The Trust for Public Land, and AccuWeather, among other sources.

Some other Easter facts and stats:

  • $18.1 Billion: Total Easter-related spending expected in 2019 ($151 per person celebrating).
  • $2.5 Billion: Projected Easter spending on candy.
  • $49,000: Price of the world’s most expensive chocolate Easter bunny.
  • 59%: Share of people who eat chocolate bunnies ears first.
