1. The "all-out" race for commercial real estate that's been happening in North Texas this year could stay just as hot in 2022, according to real estate experts. Luis Pina of Accent Commercial Real Estate in Dallas says both local and out-of-town businesspeople are interested in buying retail space like strip malls and warehouses. Pina predicts the flow of businesses moving to Texas will ultimately create expansion and booms in smaller cities and towns across the state. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
2. A multi-million dollar project hopes to expand and bring more essential services to an underserved community in South Dallas. Yesterday, Bonton Farms kicked off Project Gamechanger, a $11.6 million fundraising campaign to fund multiple initiatives in the long-neglected neighborhood. Planned projects include a health and wellness center, a financial institution, and an affordable tiny house village. Bonton Farms will be looking to community partners and philanthropists to meet its fundraising goals. (FOX 4 Dallas)
3. A Dallas woman who loves Christmas decorating attracted nearly 700,000 followers on Instagram and raised $35,000 in just two hours for the Make-A-Wish Foundation by giving tours of her festively decorated home. (FOX 4 Dallas)
4. Dallas city leaders are "thrilled" with the plan to build an automated people mover in the Dallas Midtown Project, which would circulate around the Old Valley View Mall site and the Dallas Galleria. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
