Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. The Dallas City Council has agreed to pay the $360,000 bill to repair the iconic downtown Pegasus sign. The sign sits atop the Magnolia building and has graced the top of the building since 1934. The money will be used to fix the derricks that hold the sign up after they began to corrode. Hopefully, the repairs will prevent the sign from toppling off of the building during strong winds. (WFAA.com)
  2. To celebrate Earth Day, Dallas is switching the downtown building lights to green. The lighting change will occur on Apr. 22 and will hopefully serve as a reminder to protect our fragile planet. Buildings participating in the green lights include the Reunion Tower, AT&T building, One Arts Plaza, Omni Hotel, and Hunt Building. (CW33 Dallas)
  3. The Dallas Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a man that officers found dead in a Dallas creek last month. The body was found in the 6700 block of Skillman Street.
