I-20 Completely Closed In South Dallas County
Crashes in both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-20 lead to lengthy delays in southern Dallas County.

DALLAS, TX — Commuters who regularly take I-20 are encouraged to find an alternate route Wednesday.
A fiery crash involving an 18-wheeler carrying paper and cardboard materials has ben burning on the roadway since early Wednesday.
KTVT reporter Madison Sawyer tweeted Thursday that eastbound lanes of I-20 will remain closed for an unknown length of time — presumably during the morning hours and into the early afternoon.

A short time later, a rear-end crash in the westbound lanes of I-20 sent one person to the hospital. That crash completely closed westbound lanes.
Drivers should consider alternate routes of Simpson Stuart, Loop 12 or Belt Line Road.

The interstate will likely remain closed for several hours.

UPDATE: From @Dallas_Sheriff There were two seperate crashes. In total at least 3 vehicles and one 18-wheeler involved. 18-wheeler was hauling cardboard materials which are still burning. E/B freeway will be shut down for unknown length pic.twitter.com/lkfxvjxi2v
