Eastbound I-20 Closed In Southeast Dallas After Semi Crash

A truck hauling gravel struck a sign, overturned and spilled gravel across the roadway. Cars are being forced to exit.

DALLAS, TX — Commuters traveling east on I-20 in Southeast Dallas will see delays most of the morning.

The crash, seen in TXDot traffic cameras, appears as if a truck hauling gravel struck an overhead sign and overturned.

The truck's gravelly payload spilled across the roadway and the overhead sign fell, blocking all lanes of traffic.

Eastbound lanes of the interstate will likely remain closed for several hours during cleanup.

Drivers are forced to exit at St. Augustine. Delays should be expected in this area, and drivers traveling on I-20 should seek an alternate route.
