1. Dallas leaders will be reviewing plans to address the emerald ash borer — an invasive beetle. The small green beetle was confirmed in Dallas County last month. This invasive species kills ash trees by eating the trees' water-conducting tissue. Ash trees make up about five percent of the Dallas area's urban forest canopy. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
