- A Dallas man has been arrested after allegedly beating his roommate with a stick over an argument. Officers with the Dallas Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Cape Cod Drive to find Victor Symone Shavers', 43-years-old, roommate outside with a bloodied face. The argument was reportedly over what a mosquito looked like. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
- Famous British actress Emma Watson surprised students at Dallas' Sudie L. Williams Talented and Gifted Academy by making a sudden appearance on Tuesday. The actress arrived at the school thanks to an unnamed parent's connection to the star. Watson is best known for her portrayal of Hermione Granger in the best-selling Harry Potter series. - Capital Impact Partners, a nonprofit that focuses on breaking down barriers for real estate developers of color, launches its Equitable Development Initiative in Dallas. The nonprofit hopes to help roughly 20 emerging real estate developers of color grow their real estate businesses. Capital Impact Partners will provide training, mentorship, and networking.
