Ex-Dallas Mav Seeks Stolen Toilet, Appliances
Former Dallas Maverick Charlie Villanueva wants to know who stole his toilet Monday. Police say the area has seen a 'spike' in burglaries.

DALLAS, TX — A former player for the Dallas Mavericks sent out an awkward chain of Tweets Monday evening in which he claimed someone burgled his home and stole his toilet. The ex-Mav, Charlie Villanueva, even posted a picture of a bathroom, which appears to be one toilet shy of complete.
To the joy of some Twitter users, Villanueva's #FindMyToilet became something of a short-lived viral sensation, prompting a few comical tweets, but in a later Tweet, he clarified that his appliances were "all gone" as well.

Officer Debra Webb, a public information officer for Dallas Police Department, told Patch in an email Tuesday afternoon that Villanueva's does not live in the home, but that he bought the house to "flip" and resell it.

In recent weeks the Northeast Patrol Division discovered a trend in residential burglaries in the area. The burglaries occurred in houses that were either vacant or under construction. Webb said the house has been added to a list of other area homes considered at-risk of burglary. Officers will provide extra patrols to the house as well as other at-risk houses in the area.
The first call about the stolen toilet came in to police around 6:54 p.m. Monday. At the time the call came in, Webb said 911 calls of higher priority were holding. She said the caller, who was identified as a female, called back at 111:43 p.m. to cancel the call. She called again Tuesday at 7:59 a.m. to again report the offense.
