Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. The new apartment tower in Dallas' Design District is officially ready for renters. This is the tallest tower in the three-tower development project for the New Jersey-based developer Urby on Hi Line Drive. The 27-story tower has 383 luxury rental units with rentals starting at $2,200 a month. (The Dallas Morning News)
  2. Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will reportedly be distributing $214 million to member cities for public transportation-related projects. The Dallas City Council has identified about a dozen potential projects for the money. The city will be getting about half of the funds. These funds come from excess sales tax revenue.   3. The flooding is starting to recede in Dallas and recovery has begun. Residents are urged to report damages to the state. Texas cannot get federal assistance unless it itemizes 50 million in uninsured losses to public property. Don't wait, because assistance is not guaranteed. Click to report damages. (WFAA.com)
